FOUNDER STORY

BEHIND THE DECKS

I started playing music as soon as I was diagnosed with “Stargardt” disease - an inherited form of macular degeneration causing central vision loss – when I was 12 years old.  Music was the ultimate way to cope with my condition, sparking a passion that guided my career path.

Armed with a degree in Musicology and certifications from Dubspot in NYC, I embarked on an exciting DJing journey, lighting up the nightlife of Beirut's top venues for over 15 years. Alongside my DJing adventures, I delved into the world of sound engineering, mastering skills in music production, studio management, and audio recordings.

Teaching swiftly became an integral part of my career, as I found immense joy in sharing my knowledge and watching my students thrive. Determined to spread the magic of music to all, I ventured into teaching at the Lebanese school for the blind & deaf in Beirut and the Al Noor Training Center for People of Determination in Dubai, where I had the honor of witnessing firsthand the incredible impact of music in overcoming barriers and instilling hope.

The establishment of SPIN Music represents the culmination of my years of teaching experience. Driven by a profound passion for nurturing talent and fostering a community of music enthusiasts, I embarked on this journey to make music education accessible to all. My mission is deeply rooted in empowering others and spreading joy through the transformative power of music and inclusive teaching practices.

At the core of my work lies an unwavering dedication to inclusivity, aimed at inspiring individuals to pursue their musical dreams and contribute positively to the community. Through music, education, and community building, I strive to make a meaningful impact and create opportunities for everyone to experience the magic of music.
