Overview

Get started with the essentials. Students learn the core techniques every DJ needs, from understanding music structure to mixing their first tracks. The focus is on hands-on learning, building rhythm, and developing an ear for transitions.

What they’ll learn

• How DJ controllers and software work
• Understanding BPM
• Song structure
• Exploring different music genres
• Counting beats, bars, and phrases
• Basic EQ and volume control
• Simple transitions between songs
• Organizing playlists and building a DJ set
